Co-founder and co-manager of No Fun Films, Janet has been directly involved in all No Fun Films to date, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Gary Freeman

Gary Freeman

Gary Freeman has been shooting video, editing and acting since 1992 when he began his kitchen show parody, Katy’s Kitchen. He continues to make short videos that show up from time to time at local screening venues and on the Internet. He is the author of an unpublished novel-length funeral home parody, Gruesome Gary’s Home for the Dead, for which he hopes to create a screenplay at some point. At present, his priorities lie with continuing his association with No Fun Films. He began with his role as a drug dealer in Hamtragic. Gary is equally comfortable in front of the camera or behind the scenes in a directoral/technical capacity.

Kal-El

Kal-El

Presently living in Hamtramck, Kal-el (formerly J. Michael Wilson) is known to wear many hats as an artist, writer, photographer, jewelry maker, lyricist, poet, impressionist, actor, miniture builder, singer, and recently candy maker. He has written five illustrated books (self-published): The Dune Language Dictionary, The Peoples of Dune, Melange, a cookbook, Unrequited and One Sided, a collection of songs and poems, and Over the Years. Lastly, he wrote his autobiography in 2004, entitled Naiveté. His paintings of the universe have been displayed around the U.S. and extensively at the Hamtramck Library, winning awards for A View of Memos and The Sigma Draconis Nebula. As a photographer has taken pictures of several celebrities, including Carol Channing, Marina Sirtis, Willam Shatner, and Nana Visitor. His jewelry-making talents have created items which have been worn by Nana Visitor of Star Trek fame and have been recognized internationally. As a master of voices, Kal-el also sings. At present, he has put seventy-eight different voices on CD, including the voices of Johnny Mathis, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, and Madonna!  He has also produced 15 CDs of his own past recordings. As actor he has been a background actor in the movies Philadelphia and Home of Angels, while in Hamtramck, he has done two films by local artist/film makers: Hamtragic, and Quest for Peace. He has completed his own short film, Just in Passing. Only recently has he discovered and invented several flavors of candy bars and created the wrappers under his own brand name, aMuse, including a health bar that actually lowers blood sugar.

Involved since the beginning of No Fun Films, Matt first appeared in Hamtragic and has been in every film to date. His artworks and cartooning can also be found at MattFeazell.com.

A long-time friend of No Fun Films, Marc joins the company as an assistant producer on After the Blood Rush.

Lynda Lyshack

Lynda is skilled in many fields but she'll tell you she's master of none. You can expect honesty, blatently put sometimes, but not intentionally harmful. "Fun-lover," she calls herself, and with that said, we can conclude this mini biography with, "Peace, man".

Jimmackey has been both a cameraman and an actor for us. With Erik, he is also co-creator of Jerry and Frank as well as all the characters on SuperHappy DVD.

Erik Hodson

Erik Hodson has helped us out in many ways, including his work with jimmackey on Jerry and Frank as well as all the animation work on SuperHappy DVD. He is also the artist and creator of Melby Comics. He is currently editing After the Blood Rush.

George McVey

George McVey is one half of the legendary Hamtramck Idea Men. Creator of comic books, popular fiction, costume design and more, George has been helping No Fun Films with their cover art, some of the acting in Hamtragic, and random crew needs.

Michael Marcus

Michael Marcus is the OTHER half of the Hamtramck Idea Men. Versed in creative writing, technical writing, web design, comic book editing, the fine arts, and more, Michael has worked as propmaster on "After the Blood Rush" and as web designer.
